Here is another photo of Venice. A beautiful place, full of stunning images. I love the idea of this being Venice’s version of a driveway and garage doors.
A good friend and I explored an abandoned asylum with our cameras. We had time for the auditorium and attached rooms.
It was dangerous, dirty and slightly creepy, but the photos were fabulous. You can read all about my adventure in this post.
Here is Day 3 of the Black & White Challenge!
I lived many places during my Sabbatical, and this is the hallway of one of them. I was finding it challenging finding a place to stay in Hong Kong, and tried out Couch Surfing.
I stayed with a very generous and wonderful woman. She shared the flat with her young daughter, and a German fellow, that had been in China for a long time, and was renting sleeping space. The space was so tiny, even including the toilet and kitchen areas, that the generosity of allowing me the sofa made me feel a powerful gratitude. The sofa was half my length, but gratitude made it a wonderful two nights sleep.
The sense of relief is almost a “high” when you get to the point you get rid of things that aren’t useful, aren’t beautiful, don’t uplift you, or can’t be repaired. Even the things that you have duplicates of, and don’t have a place to be put away – really, if you can’t find it when you need it – how useful is it?
Here is Day 1, of the 5 day Black & White photo challenge! This was taken at Ayutthaya, Thailand, and is of tree roots that have grown over a Buddha figure’s head and body.
The reason I am posting the photo here, instead of Facebook, is that I want to retain full rights of my photos. I only post photos that I don’t mind if people take on my facebook page.
